This post is a combination of two trips to Cades Cove one early fall the second late fall. Going to the mountains with my family has to be one of my favorite things to do. I would say I feel the most at home in the mountains then anywhere else. Here are some of my favorites, the last few are HDR, which I am learning…

There is no place I feel more relaxed and at peace than in the mountains. Two weeks ago Andy and I got away for the weekend. My goal in this photography adventure is to challenge myself to try things in which I am not comfortable. One reason I really like nature photography is that you can’t fake it, it is difficult. Everyone has their unique styles and editing tricks but there is only so much photo-shop can do with Nature… Now, I am by no means a nature/landscape photographer but here are some that I liked. Enjoy!

Downtown Charleston was a blast to shoot especially with my favorite photog buddy, Vondle Shipley. Who inspired me all week with her zest for creativity and life! Many thanks to Alice Crook who graciously chauffeured us around and Ben Fields for sharing all your mad photography and video skills with me!
